The Secretariat of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) informs the public that the name "Southern African Development Community," the acronym "SADC," and the SADC logo are registered and protected trademarks of the Southern African Development Community. Unauthorised use of these trademarks constitutes an infringement of SADC’s intellectual property rights. The mere fact of operating within the Southern African region does not grant any organisation the right to name itself "SADC" or use the SADC brand and trademarks. We kindly urge the public to refrain from using these registered trademarks as they are exclusively reserved for official SADC programmes and events.
